Carole Foster’s artistic journey began amidst the expansive farming fields and paddocks near Wangaratta, in regional Victoria, Australia. Her love of the natural environment, combined with a lifetime of travel and experiences living in various countries, has shaped her distinctive artistic vision.

Carole is best known for her expressive abstract landscapes, inspired by the vastness, beauty and spirit of the Australian outback. Her work is characterised by vibrant, free-flowing colour, intuitive mark-making and an evolving exploration of colour combinations that capture the essence of the landscape rather than simply its physical form.
